What month is the hardest to get a job?

For spectators or event staff roles, the hardest months to find work are often during the off-season or between major events, typically in late winter and early spring. Job availability tends to increase during peak seasons, such as summer or holiday periods, when events and crowds are at their highest. Scheduling and seasonal demand significantly influence hiring difficulty for these roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Spectator, and why are they important?

Spectator is not a recognized professional job title and does not require specific skills, qualifications, or certifications for employment. As such, there are no standard tools, systems, or credentials associated with this role. Soft skills or standout qualities are not applicable in this context. Therefore, there are no defined skills or qualities essential to success as a Spectator in a professional sense.

What are some common expectations and responsibilities for a Spectator at live events?

As a Spectator, your primary role is to observe and enjoy the event, but you are also expected to adhere to event policies, respect fellow attendees, and promote a positive atmosphere. This includes following venue rules, refraining from disruptive behavior, and supporting fair play if at a sporting event. Spectators often interact with staff and other attendees, so courteous communication is important. While not a formal occupation, understanding these responsibilities helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

What does the spectator do?

A spectator observes events such as sports, performances, or competitions without participating. Their role involves watching, cheering, and sometimes providing support or feedback, often in a stadium, arena, or event venue. Spectators do not engage in the active aspects of the event but may follow rules related to conduct and safety.

What are spectators?

Spectators are individuals who attend and observe an event, such as a sports game, concert, or performance, without directly participating in the activity. Their main role is to watch, enjoy, and sometimes support the participants or teams involved. Spectators contribute to the atmosphere of an event and can impact the energy and experience for both performers and fellow audience members. They may be subject to certain rules and guidelines to ensure safety and enjoyment for everyone present.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

For a spectator or similar roles, earning $1,000,000 annually is uncommon and typically limited to high-profile positions such as professional athletes, top-tier entertainers, or business executives. Most jobs in this category require exceptional talent, visibility, or leadership skills, often combined with endorsements, sponsorships, or ownership stakes. Such income levels are rare and usually involve multiple revenue streams beyond a standard salary.

What jobs allow you to interact with people?

Jobs that involve direct interaction with people include roles such as customer service representatives, sales associates, teachers, healthcare workers, and event staff. These positions often require strong communication skills, active listening, and the ability to work in social environments or customer-facing settings.

Job description

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community.
The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles' third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.
Putting on an Olympic and Paralympic Games is a team sport. To build a Games unlike any the world has seen before, we need the best team in place-a team full of diverse perspectives, experiences and expertise. We are guided by the following set of values and behaviors-optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation and boldness-and look forward to hearing about how your past experiences align with them.
Manager, Live Sites & Venue Experiences
The Live Sites (LIV) functional area is responsible for the planning & execution of LA28's fan and spectator experiences both on- and off-premises during the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. These activations are an extension of the Games' competitive events, sharing the spirit of the Olympics and Paralympics with fans.
We're seeking a solutions-oriented Manager who shares our passion for inclusive, accessible, high-quality fan experiences.
Proven excellence with work in sponsorship or event operations, brand activation production, event marketing logistics, and project management is a must. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-driven, proactive, and comfortable navigating many stakeholders at once. Experience implementing scalable systems and processes is preferred.
You'll drive day-to-day operational planning for spectator activations and programming across LA28 venues-owning workflows, tracking deliverables, and keeping cross-functional teams aligned and moving forward.
Working in our DTLA office, you'll report to the Head of Live Sites & Venue Experiences. At Games time, you'll be on the ground at assigned venues within select Zones of the Games Venue Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead operational planning - Develop and execute the plans, resources, and day-to-day workflow needed to deliver fan-focused activations for International Sports Federations, National Sports Governing Bodies, and similar partners across all Games venues
  • Build venue playbooks - Work with teams across LA28 to create clear, practical guides that explain how activations should run inside each venue and how stakeholders plug into overall Games operations
  • Manage material planning - In collaboration with Logistics and Procurement, manage furniture, fixtures, and equipment planning along with sourcing for fabrication and/or rentals.
  • Drive venue planning - Manage the planning process for spectator activations at assigned venues and advocate for stakeholders' needs-ensuring they have the right space, services, and integration to the Daily Run Sheet
  • Connect external stakeholders and venues - Act as the main link between external partners and venue operations, making sure everyone is aligned on operational requirements to successfully deliver spectator activations
  • Coordinate across departments - Partner closely with groups like Games Delivery, Logistics, Marketing Partner Services, Accreditation, Fan Experience, Transportation, Brand, Digital, Legal, and Finance to keep everyone aligned on timelines and deliverables
Background & Requirements:
  • 5+ years of direct experience in sponsorship operations, experiential marketing production, or related disciplines with a focus on operational planning
  • Demonstrated success in executing and leading strategic experiential plans across brands, teams, leagues, or similar
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder interests and find creative solutions that balance stakeholder needs with operational realities
  • Strong knowledge of business operations, project management, and financial processes
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, venue operations and production, HR, finance, and legal teams
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to help build and maintain scalable systems and workflows that improve performance
  • Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movements is a plus
Expectations:
  • Track record of successfully advancing and delivering large-scale, multi-faceted, and operationally challenging event production
  • Self-starter and solution-finder, possessing the drive to start a project and see it through to completion
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining scalable systems for tracking assets
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment while managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • A team player who proactively communicates with other business partners and stakeholders within other organizations to drive results
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sports management, related field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint sites
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Working in an open office environment, including on-site in our DTLA office
  • Ability to travel to venue site visits in and around Southern California
  • Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, specifically in 2028 at Games Time
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games

The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $115,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
