Full Time, Days
Assists RN and ORT/scrub in room turnovers before, after, and end of day operative procedures. Organizes instrumentation and disposables for surgical procedure, ensuring all necessary supplies are assembled on the case cart prior to the procedure. Opens sterile supplies, instruments, and disposables, using sterile technique, in accordance with AORN Standards & Recommended Practices. Assist O.R. RN and ORT/scrub after case cleanup (i.e. mopping room, wiping horizontal surfaces, changing linen, discarding trash/used linen, changing anesthesia disposable circuit, suction disposal and setup) and stocking rooms, according to established PAR levels. Works in conjunction with RN as to equipment needed for next case. Takes call as needed. Assembles case carts daily, gathers instrumentation and disposables off established/handwritten surgeon preference cards/pick lists. Works in conjunction with Sterile Processing Department to ensure instrument trays are available prior to any surgical case.
Minimum Education /Licensure / Certifications Education:
