Job description

Position Overview

A growing fleet maintenance operation is seeking a Bilingual Fleet Supervisor to serve as the primary liaison between upper management and a predominantly Spanish-speaking mechanic team. This individual will be responsible for communicating priorities, enforcing shop standards, improving accountability, and ensuring repairs are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a respected leader with strong mechanical knowledge who can effectively bridge the gap between the office and the shop floor. While hands-on troubleshooting may occasionally be required, this role is primarily focused on communication, quality control, training, and team oversight.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between management and shop technicians, ensuring expectations, priorities, and policies are clearly understood.
  • Hold technicians accountable for workmanship, productivity, safety procedures, and adherence to company standards while helping to foster a positive and professional shop culture.
  • Conduct quality-control checks, review completed repairs, identify performance gaps, and provide coaching or training to improve consistency and reduce repeat issues.
  • Assist with workflow coordination, technician development, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize efficiency and vehicle uptime.
  • Utilize Fullbay shop management software to review work orders, monitor repair activity, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Previous leadership experience in a maintenance, fleet, diesel, automotive, transportation, or heavy equipment environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of maintenance operations
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and hold employees accountable
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with quality control and enforcing operational standards
  • Comfortable using computers and shop management software; Fullbay experience is a plus
  • Dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented
