What you will do 

Intermex is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the growth, effectiveness, and performance of our software engineering organization. This role is responsible for developing engineering talent, improving organizational maturity, driving delivery excellence, and creating a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

The Engineering Manager will partner with Product, QA, Platform Engineering, Security, Data, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure Engineering consistently delivers secure, scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions that support Intermex's strategic objectives.

Success in this role will be measured by improved engineering performance, stronger leadership within teams, increased delivery predictability, adoption of AI and automation, improved software quality, and the overall maturity of the Engineering organization.

  • Drive automation throughout development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity through AI and emerging technologies.
  • Promote continuous improvement through modern engineering tools and practices.
  • Partner with QA leadership to improve software quality and automation coverage.
  • Improve reliability, resiliency, observability, and supportability across platforms.
  • Lead root cause analysis and long-term corrective action efforts.
  • Drive operational excellence and service reliability across Engineering teams.
  • Align engineering priorities with company goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure engineering investments deliver measurable business value.
  • Balance short-term delivery objectives with long-term technology investments.
  • Communicate engineering strategy, risks, and results to executive leadership.

What you have 

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or related Degree 
  • Minimum of 4 years as a Manager of a Software Engineering team
  • Spanish speaking, reading and writing is a must
  • Experience in developing within the Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) 
  • Proficiency in the following:  
  • Effective listening and communication skill
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
