Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support and coordinate payroll-related accounting activities.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Ensure accounting activities comply with GAAP, internal policies, and applicable requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and support cash management activities.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, vendors, and other financial partners as needed.
  • Review financial information and provide meaningful reporting and analysis to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, documentation, and reporting.
  • Help establish scalable accounting procedures as the company continues to grow.
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure financial deadlines are consistently met.
  • Support special projects and other financial initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and management reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a growing company where processes and responsibilities may continue to evolve.
