Job description

Job Summary - This position is responsible for preparing shop drawings and submittals for space division products including operable partitions and glass partitions using current drafting standards.
The Detailer for Space Management Division is responsible and accountable for:
  • Produce shop drawings for approval and fabrication per architectural drawings, rough sketch, or verbal instruction
  • Produce plans, sections, elevations, and details of space division products to convey architectural design and how our products interact with other trades
  • Identify conflicts and architectural, structural, or MEP design elements and present solutions
  • Gather and prepare full submittal packages, including shop drawings, product data, and finish samples
  • Learn capabilities and tolerances of our space division products
  • Promote collaborative team atmosphere
  • Performing other related duties as necessary or assigned

Experience & Other Requirements
  • Associates or higher in Drafting, CAD, or Architectural Technology a plus
  • Experience with detailing operable walls, movable partitions, glass curtain walls, etc strongly preferred
  • Understanding architectural blueprints and common construction techniques
  • Strong computer skills including Revit LT, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office & Bluebeam Revu
  • Keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and remain flexible to shifting priorities
  • Good aptitude with the ability to solve problems with a willingness to learn new technologies
