Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Spa Director, the Spa Assistant is responsible for attending to the guests in the Spa facilities including greeting guests as they enter the Spa, performing cash and sales transactions, and providing personal guest services while assisting in keeping the Spa area neat, cleaned and stock with all amenities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides exemplary customer service by "Exceeding Expectations One Opportunity at a Time".

2.Provide fast and courteous service to all guests of the Spa.

3.Greets guests in a friendly manner, checks them in upon arrival, and escorts them to their appropriate room and/or staff.

4.Answers phone calls and emails that are sent to the Spa department.

5.Collects payment from customers.

6.Enters all transactions into POS system, while assuming responsibility for balancing all transactions at the end of the shift.

7. Maintains a safe, clean and well-organized Spa environment through consistent monitoring of the Spa area and Spa rooms including but not limited to stripping and replacing liens, removing trash and replacing liners, wiping down counters and carts with cleaning supplies, sanitizing stations after each use, disinfecting tools per protocol, sweepingand mopping the floors, vacuuming the carpeted areas, and fully cleaning bathrooms and locker rooms.

8. Assists the Esthetician(s), & Massage Therapist(s) in scheduling clients or booking for bulk parties.

9. Assists the Esthetician(s) & Massage Therapist(s) in cleaning and sterilizing tools.

10. Assists other positions in the Spa when needed and cooperates well with co-workers.

11. Ensure that all shelves are stocked including towels, lines, spa products and treatments.

12. Assist the Spa Director in ordering supplies.

13. Selling merchandise from the Spa.

14. Responsible for learning and following personnel policies and procedures for the Spa Department and Bay Mills Resort & Casinos.

15. Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Manager.

16. Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position's essential functions.
