About the Role

We're hiring a Plant Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on asphalt plants and asphaltrelated equipment. This role supports multiple plant locations and involves travel throughout Northwest Ohio and Southern Michigan, based on operational needs, while allowing you to regularly return home.

This is a fulltime, yearround position.


What You'll Do
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on asphalt plants, conveyors, and related equipment
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • Operate a plant when required to ensure accurate batching and quality production
  • Monitor plant performance and make adjustments to optimize efficiency
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work environment
  • Coordinate with supervisors, drivers, and dispatch to minimize downtime
  • Perform routine inspections and report potential equipment issues
  • Travel to multiple plant locations as required
  • Maintain regular inperson attendance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Ability to safely access and navigate plant facilities, including climbing ladders
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as operational needs require

What You Bring
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Welding and burning skills
  • Experience operating and maintaining industrial or heavy equipment
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a frontend loader
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problemsolving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with asphalt plants, aggregate facilities, or similar industrial equipment highly desirable
