Job description

Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we've tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it's supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we're not just here to move money- we're here to move our global customers forward.
We're looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that's you and you're ready to do the most meaningful work of your career-we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the role:

Remitly is hiring a Product Lead to own growth in our USA-South East Asia-SAS corridors (customers in the USA sending money home to markets across South East Asia & South Asia). You will set the growth strategy for the region, own the product roadmap for SEA & SAS-specific experiences, and use product, pricing, and marketing levers to drive measurable results. This is a general-management-style product role, responsible for regional outcomes. You will report to our USA General Manager.

This role can be located in either our Seattle or Washington DC office, and you will be expected to work 2-3 days a week in office.

You Will:

  • Be accountable for sustainable growth in our USA-South East Asia-South Asia corridors (including USA-Philippines), measured by new customers, monthly active customers, transactions, volume, revenue, and profitability

  • Develop the long-term growth strategy for the region, grounded in customer, competitive, and market insight, and translate it into clear market goals and priorities across functions

  • Own the product roadmap for South East Asia & South Asia-specific features and experiences, working with engineering and design to define requirements, prioritize the backlog, and ship iteratively

  • Drive the marketing agenda for the region in partnership with our marketing teams: audience and segment priorities, campaign and channel focus, promotions, and community marketing for South East Asian & South Asian diaspora audiences in the US

  • Generate and test hypotheses quickly: identify the biggest growth opportunities, run experiments across product, pricing, and marketing, and scale what works

  • Build business cases for key initiatives and influence partner teams' roadmaps (product, marketing, pricing, disbursement network) through structured, customer-centric frameworks

  • Communicate corridor performance, growth drivers, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

You Have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience, including product leadership in a technology-driven company

  • Experience building and scaling B2C or FinTech products, ideally in money movement or financial services

  • Strong problem-solving skills, qualitative and quantitative - you can take an ambiguous problem, form high-quality hypotheses, and back your recommendations with data

  • A bias for action: scrappy enough to get things done yourself, rigorous enough to go deep on the details when it matters

  • The ability to influence across teams and with external partners - a compassionate partner who can also be constructively direct

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus

  • Hands-on analytical skills

Preferred:

  • Deep understanding of South East Asian & South Asian migrant communities in the US

  • Experience driving growth with levers beyond product - acquisition marketing, promotions, or lifecycle/CRM - and judgment about which lever fits which problem
