Job Description:  

This position will be responsible for providing Electrical Engineering systems support and development to customer-funded programs within our Exquisite Imaging Solutions business unit of L3Harris Corporation.  Our Exquisite Imaging Solutions products serve a broad array of government, civil and commercial customers by enhancing information superiority, contributing to our national security and providing actionable data for the protection of property and human life. We specialize in high-reliability space-based imaging payloads and end-to-end systems that offer active and motion imaging and data processing, exploitation and dissemination. We also provide solutions that map and monitor the earth and stars for a variety of commercial and governmental users. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Design electrical systems and subsystems from customers or internal specifications.
  • Create and maintain electrical circuit designs working with cross discipline teams. 
  • Experience with deriving specifications.
  • Experience supporting electronics designs from concept through test and verification.
  • Experience with DOORs, SPICE, MathCAD, Matlab, Simulink, and MentorGraphics tools.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to read specifications and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Strong ability to make technically sound architecture decisions to guide development.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree and 2 years of experience.  In lieu of degree, 8 years in electrical engineering.
  • Experience with Analog, Power and/or Digital Design Skills, including worst-case analysis.
  • Experience with test and debugging skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Hold Secret or Top Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance 
  • Participate and contribute in technical reviews. 
  • Experience performing Worst Case analysis. 
  • Experience leading teams and project designs.
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome. difficult technical challenges. 
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $80,500 - $149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
