Overview
Corporate Counsel is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across various corporate functions. Your responsibilities will include assisting, advising, investigating, and resolving various legal matters to ensure the company's operations are compliant and legally sound.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across all phases of product development, from ideation to launch.
  • Provide legal guidance and support across cross-functional teams including Product Development, Corporate Strategy, IT, Security and Marketing to obtain alignment between product functionality, commercial requirements, and legal compliance, and ensure that contractual terms align with company policies and objectives
  • Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies, including IP, privacy, AI, and advertising laws, and support responsible teams with implementation
  • Draft/review agreements, amendments, and commercial terms to support Company's strategic plan and product functionality, while minimizing risk exposure.
  • Draft/review vendor or partner agreements involving product integrations.
  • Review and advise on UX designs and marketing materials for compliance with applicable laws.
  • Maintain excellent partnerships with internal clients to meet their legal and business needs

Qualifications
  • 3 -5 years of relevant legal experience in product development and technology law including at an in-house legal department.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to bar in a U.S. state and in good standing with the relevant bar association(s) in the US state(s) where licensed to practice law.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $127,018 - $175,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
