Objectif du Poste:

L'Éditeur.rice Audio joue un rôle clé au sein de l'équipe Audio/Post-production au Side Montréal. En tant qu'Éditeur.rice Audio, vous devrez vous assurer que toutes les tâches, techniques et administratives, sont accomplies en temps opportun pour soutenir la livraison des ressources audio. Vous soutiendrez l'équipe d'enregistrement et de post-production, en aidant à garantir l'achèvement en temps voulu des livrables et des jalons.

Tâches et Responsabilités Clés:

  • Édition de Dialogue: Éditer et nettoyer les pistes de dialogue pour assurer la clarté, la cohérence et une qualité sonore élevée.
  • Réduction du Bruit: Appliquer des techniques de réduction du bruit pour éliminer les pops, bruits et artefacts indésirables.
  • Synchronisation: Assurer que le dialogue est parfaitement synchronisé avec les éléments visuels du projet, le cas échéant.
  • Contrôle de Qualité: Effectuer des contrôles de qualité pour maintenir les normes audio et la cohérence sur tous les projets. Travailler avec les outils et scripts fournis.
  • Collaboration: Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les ingénieurs du son, les concepteurs sonores et les autres membres de l'équipe pour obtenir le résultat audio souhaité.

Role: Dialogue Audio Editor (on-call)

Montreal, Canada

Purpose of Job:

The Audio Editor plays a key role within the Audio/Post team at Side Montreal. As an Audio Editor, you will need to ensure that all tasks, technical and administrative, are completed in a timely manner to support the delivery of audio assets. You will support the recording and post-production team, helping to ensure the timely completion of deliverables and milestones.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Dialogue Editing: Edit and clean up dialogue tracks to ensure clarity, consistency, and high-quality sound.
  • Noise Reduction: Apply noise reduction techniques to remove unwanted pops, noise and artefacts.
  • Synchronisation: Ensure dialogue is perfectly synchronised with the visual elements of the project, when applicable.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks to maintain audio standards and consistency across all projects. Work with provided tools and scripts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with recording engineers, sound designers, and other team members to achieve the desired audio outcome.
  • File Management: Organise and manage audio files, applying the proper filenaming struction and maintaining detailed records and backups.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the editing process.

  • Adhere to company Security, Confidentiality and Health and Safety procedures and ensure the compliance of the team.
  • Adhere to the company IT and HR procedures and ensure the compliance of the team.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Able to adapt and learn new skills and software.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-driven, resourceful and a team player who can work well with all levels.

Qualifications:
