This role includes assisting with student behavior, supporting inclusion practices, and helping maintain a safe and positive learning environment. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Primary Roles and Responsibilities Provide academic, social, and behavioral support to students with special needs individually and in small groups.

Assist in implementing lessons and activities by reinforcing concepts and offering individualized or small-group support. Help maintain a safe, secure, and structured learning environment; assist with classroom behavior management. Create a physically and emotionally safe environment for both students and staff.

Ensure every student feels known, accepted, valued, and respected through positive communication and trust-building. Maintain awareness of ProYouth program goals, expectations, and processes. Comply with the ProYouth Employee Handbook and all organizational policies and procedures.

Build positive, professional relationships with coworkers, supervisors, ProYouth leadership, site principals, teachers, and parents. Complete all responsibilities accurately and on time. Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of training and experience.

Education and Experience Requirements College degree with a focus in Special Education preferred. High school diploma or equivalent AND 48 completed college units OR NCLB Paraprofessional Certification. Special Education training required; Special Education Training Certification preferred.

At least one year of experience working directly with students with behavioral challenges in an educational setting. Experience implementing behavior intervention plans as part of a team. Documented training in applied behavioral strategies.

Training in supporting students with toileting needs required. Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training required. Handle With Care training required.
