The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:
We are seeking a high-performing Distribution Manager to lead one distribution center that operates as a fast-paced fulfillment center. This leader will own day-to-day site performance while advancing the operation through automation, AI-enabled decision-making, process redesign, and a relentless focus on customer experience.
The ideal candidate brings 10-15 years of progressive distribution, warehouse, or fulfillment leadership experience, with a proven record of improving throughput, labor productivity, order accuracy, service levels, and cost performance. This person must be both a disciplined operator and a forward-looking change leader who can modernize the DC, develop teams, and build a more scalable, customer-centric operation.

What You'll Do at Justrite:
  • Lead all aspects of a single-site distribution and fulfillment center, including inbound, outbound, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, staffing, safety, and facility performance.
  • Drive operational excellence with clear accountability for throughput, service, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement automation solutions such as conveyor and sortation systems, pick-to-light or put-to-light technology, robotics, AMRs, automated storage, scanning, and packaging optimization.
  • Champion the use of AI and advanced analytics to improve labor planning, slotting, wave planning, forecasting, inventory placement, exception management, and real-time operational decisions.
  • Build a customer-centric fulfillment operation focused on order accuracy, on-time shipment, speed to customer, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Establish and manage site KPIs, including units per hour, order cycle time, dock-to-stock time, fill rate, OTIF, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cost per order.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause problem solving methodologies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Customer Service, IT, Engineering, Transportation, and Commercial teams to improve service performance and network alignment.
  • Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, coaching, and performance management for supervisors and frontline teams.
  • Create a culture of safety, engagement, accountability, and operational discipline while managing budgets and operating expenses responsibly.

Your Skills and Expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
  • 10-15 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics, or fulfillment operations, with significant leadership responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven success leading a distribution center or fulfillment center in a high-volume, service-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated experience improving site performance through automation, systems optimization, and technology adoption.
  • Hands-on experience using data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve throughput, labor productivity, inventory flow, or customer outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and returns management.
  • Experience with WMS, labor management systems, KPI dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to develop teams, lead through change, and raise performance standards.
  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements in service, cost, quality, and productivity.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Experience in e-commerce, omnichannel, or direct-to-consumer fulfillment.
  • Experience implementing or scaling robotics, automation, or AI solutions in a distribution center environment.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience managing site expansions, layout redesigns, or major operational transformations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing labor, budget, and capital improvement projects.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $90,000-$150,000
Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
