Medtronic is hiring for multiple Facilities Automation Maintenance Technician positions at our Airways Distribution Center in Memphis, TN. We've been on a three-year journey to modernize our U.S. distribution network and transform how we distribute our products. The Airways DC is one of two new U.S. distribution hubs opened within the last two years to enhance and streamline our delivery operations. We're aiming to elevate the customer experience and generate cost savings with state-of-the-art technology and standardized processes. This critical role supports ongoing maintenance of our automation, conveyance, and sortation equipment to enable the distribution center to serve patients around the world.

This role is based onsite in Memphis.

• Proactively performs scheduled preventive maintenance on automation, conveyance, and sortation equipmentto minimize unplanned downtimeand ensure equipment ismaintainedin like-new condition

• Works flexibly with Operations leadership to perform maintenance activities during shift changes,lunch breaks, and otheropportunetimeswherepossible

• Acts with urgency and leveragesexperience and deep knowledge of automationand conveyancetoquickly restore equipment to operation following an unplanned event

• May performrepairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.

• May perform work inadditionalmaintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting,machineand equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.

• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections todeterminerepair andmaintenancework necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

• Implementsreliability best practices in alignment with Medtronic Facilities Maintenance Excellence strategy

• Uses hand and power tools.

• Tests,inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.

• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications

Must Haves

3+years of Facilities/Maintenance experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in a distribution center, warehouse, and/or fulfillment operation

• Troubleshooting,maintaining,and repairingExotecwarehouse robotics systems, Sparck box-on-demand equipment,automated shipping sorters,material handling equipment, conveyors, etc.

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

• Ability to use multi meter to troubleshoot incoming power and low voltage controls

• HVAC experience

• Electrical experience

• EPA universal certification

• Desirable demonstrated knowledge and understanding of GMPs, FDA regulations, Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485 requirements

• Knowledge inEHSfield

• Works undermoderatedegree of supervision

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$59,200.00 - $88,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).U.S. Pay Transparency (for SIP, Commission, Hourly Direct, Interns, Executives)
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
