Auburn Manufacturing, Inc, having 2 plants (Auburn & Mechanic Falls), locally owned and operated for 46 plus years, is seeking a Inventory Control Coordinator to routinely commute back and forth between their plants in Auburn and Mechanic Falls Maine, (6.9 miles apart).This position, reporting to the Production Manager and must have the ability to be detail oriented, able to converse with all personnel and have a strong initiative in helping improve accuracy. FULL TIME

Requirements of the Inventory Control
  • Associate's degree, preferably in accounting, business related field or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

  • Minimum of five(5) years of manufacturing experience performing inventory control, analysis, investigations recommendations and reporting.

  • Textile-manufacturing experience preferred

  • Extensive knowledge and use of ERP/MRP software, NetSuite preferred.

  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, dataset, inventory, productions and email programs.

  • Ability to travel between company locations in Auburn and Mechanic Falls.

  • Knowledge of ISO quality program standards and requirements

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects at one time and remain organized.

  • Knowledge of production planning and supply chain management

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities of the Inventory Control:
  • Perform cycle counts in both plants; along with root cause analysis of variances; reporting findings, making recommendations and tracking progress.

  • Conduct spot (SMART) counts as deemed necessary and report discrepancies

  • Post inventory adjustments resulting from cycle counts, smart counts & production issues

  • Review inventory levels with purchasing to determine ideal inventory levels, without creating excessive inventory

  • Review Bills of Materials vs. production usage and report findings

  • Establish transfer orders between plants & monitor results

  • Work with production supervisors and quality to investigate and resolve inventory control issues

  • Operate forklift, scissor lift, and other material handling equipment
