Join Our Team as an Offshore SOP Technical Writer - Drive Excellence in Offshore Oil & Gas Operations!
Are you an experienced technical writer with a passion for offshore oil and gas operations? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where precision, compliance, and collaboration are key? We're seeking a talented Offshore SOP Technical Writer to develop, update, and ensure the highest standards of Standard Operating Procedures for our client's Gulf of America offshore facilities. This pivotal role offers the chance to impact critical operations, support new developments, and uphold regulatory excellence-making a real difference in the offshore energy sector.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • 5-10+ years of proven experience in offshore oil and gas operations, engineering support, or technical writing, preferably within deepwater environments.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining comprehensive operating procedures aligned with industry standards and regulations, including BSEE requirements.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical documentation such as P&IDs, PFDs, vendor data, and design philosophies.
  • Deep understanding of offshore production systems, including separation, compression, water treatment, gas dehydration, and hydraulic power systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with offshore personnel, engineers, and subject matter experts to capture operational knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, organizational prowess, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience with SAFE charts, pump curves, and design philosophies.
  • Familiarity with offshore regulatory environments beyond BSEE.
  • Prior involvement in brownfield projects, new builds, or asset lifecycle updates.

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technical Communication, Operations, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant offshore oil and gas experience, ideally supporting deepwater operations or complex facilities.

Other Requirements:
  • Must be available for a hybrid work schedule (9/80) based at The Woodlands, TX, working in-office Tuesdays through Thursdays.
  • Ability to support ongoing regulatory compliance and participate in Management of Change (MoC) processes.
