Sony Interactive Entertainment has an extraordinary opportunity in the Tools, Framework and Infrastructure team! We are looking for a motivated and creative individual to help build test tools, frameworks, and infrastructure, focused on delivering high quality system software which drives the PlayStation experience.

As a Software Engineer, you'll focus on building test frameworks and infrastructure, internal tools, and automating test workflows. You will collaborate closely with Quality Engineering and Software Engineering teams to build robust systems to ensure console software delivered to customers and game studios are of the highest quality.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain test frameworks, tooling and infrastructure for teams which develop and test software for the Playstation console.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar tools.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Development teams to enable testing of both hardware and software components in isolation.

  • Construct telemetry systems and dashboard in order to make data-driven decisions about technical feature development.

  • Build tooling for AI-driven testing initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

  • 2+ years experience in designing, developing and maintaining tools and applications in Python, C++, or Javascript with a focus on building testing tools, and test frameworks at scale. (C++, JS experience preferred)

  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Appium, Mocha.js, etc.)

  • Experience with mobile test automation on Android and/or iOS platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar tools.

  • Comfortable working in Linux and Windows-based development environments.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and QA teams.

  • Hands-on experience applying AI/ML techniques in practical engineering contexts such as test case generation, flaky test detection, log analysis, or workflow automation.

  • Strong debugging skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with test/build automation on PCs, consoles or other embedded systems

  • Familiarity with Node, React Native/Web, Kubernetes, REST APIs

  • Working knowledge Docker-based test environments.

  • Game industry background

  • Exposure to integrating or building tools powered by large language models

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
