Position Summary
The Project Manager leads complex, multi-million-dollar projects from preconstruction through closeout. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing project teams, subcontractors, budgets, and client relationships while delivering unmatched quality on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

Lead preconstruction activities including estimating, scoping, scheduling, and GMP development
Manage project financials: budgets, job cost reporting, pay applications, and change orders
Negotiate, award, and administer subcontracts and vendor agreements
Partner with Site Superintendents on field operations, quality control, and safety compliance
Serve as the client contact and maintain strong owner/architect/engineer relationships
Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Mentor junior project staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
5-8+ years of construction project management experience; 2+ years at the PM level
Experience managing projects $10M+; $25M+ strongly preferred
Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6 or MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Chicago market experience preferred; familiarity with City permitting and PBC processes a plus
