Job description

Who We Are

At R.E. Miller & Sons, we’ve been a fixture of the Dillon community since 1963. We don’t just haul gravel; we build the infrastructure that keeps Montana moving. When you join our crew, you aren’t just a name on a payroll sheet or a unit number on a GPS—you’re a key player in a family-run business that values your skills, your time, and your deep roots in Big Sky Country.

The Role

We are looking for hardworking, safety-conscious individuals to join our field team. As a Construction Laborer, you are the backbone of our projects. You’ll be on the front lines of site preparation, material management, and supporting our skilled trades to ensure every job is done right the first time.

What You’ll Do

  • Build the Future: Assist in the construction and renovation of vital local structures and infrastructure.
  • Master the Tools: Operate a variety of hand and power tools and assist with maintenance to keep our fleet running sharp.
  • Site Prep & Support: Dig trenches, set foundations, and assist with concrete pours—doing the heavy lifting that makes the project possible.
  • Team Collaboration: Work side-by-side with experienced carpenters, electricians, and operators, learning the ropes of the trade.
  • Safety First: Maintain a clean, hazard-free job site because we want every member of our family going home safe at the end of the day.

What You Bring to the Team

  • The Montana Work Ethic: You’re reliable, punctual, and ready to put in an honest day’s work.
  • Physical Stamina: You’re comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and staying active on your feet throughout the day.
  • A "Team-First" Attitude: You take direction well and communicate clearly with your crew.
  • Experience (A Plus, Not a Must): If you have a background in construction, great! If not, but you’re eager to learn and have a high school diploma (or equivalent), we want to talk to you.

Working Conditions

  • The Great Outdoors: You’ll be working outside in the beautiful (and sometimes unpredictable) Montana weather.
  • Overtime Opportunities: Construction moves fast. During busy seasons, there may be extended hours or weekend work to help us hit our project milestones.

Why R.E. Miller & Sons?

We respect the trade and the people who do it. If you’re looking for a job where your hard work is seen and your contribution to the community actually matters, you’ve found it.
