Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Solutions Manager position is responsible for driving business growth by meeting new and existing customers.  This role will perform sales (business solutions) for Software and Digital scope for North America and assist Global sales.  This dynamic individual will leverage their exceptional sales and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with clients, identifying their needs, and proposing tailored software solutions for airport/airlines digital platforms & media. Through regular meetings and presentations, the Digital Solutions Manager will showcase the value and benefits of digital solutions, ultimately closing deals and contributing to our overall success. Additionally, this role requires maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, providing exceptional after-sales support, and staying updated on market trends and competitor analysis.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain positive long-term relationships with executive leadership, support leadership, field leadership, customers and stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain relationships with Airports, account management for digital scope, combining Sym3, BRS, Self Service Technologies (CUSS), FIDS/AODB and digital solutions using Daifuku and 3rd party software and hardware to create an overall solution, work along DOC Business Solutions Managers in Airport area. 
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date functional and cost knowledge of: DOC software solutions, IT hardware (server, virtualization, network) solutions and database and virtualization solutions.  
  • Develop and maintain a business partnership with current customers and explore new opportunities to expand our services in modernization of airports through digital transformation.  
  • Actively engage with customers and stakeholders regarding performance, feedback, and opportunities. 
  • Support the development, implementation and growth of Airport Digital roadmap, strategy and modernization market.  Staying current on trends, software, and technology. 
  • Motivate fellow team members to promote trust, challenge the status quo, and deliver service excellence. 
  • Actively contributes to the development of comprehensive sales strategies to win business.
  • With DOC product and technical support, lead the Digital bid/proposal creation activities in the region, including:
    • Performing extensive technical writing for section development.
    • Creating RFP timelines with assignments and schedules identified.
    • Managing deadlines to ensure sections are obtained on schedule.
    • Coordination and production of final document for submission.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of presentations to customers and company management.
  • Lead the monitoring of procurement/lead websites for Digital scope.
  • Responds to requests for information and other customer inquiries.
  • Lead the digital activities  for trade shows and conferences in the region. 
  • Compliance with company Safety program policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with the company's Quality program policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by Management.
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • In depth knowledge of self-service & digital aviation market (e.g. CUSS, AODB, FIDS, BRS)
  • Good understanding of IT solutions technologies including cloud, operation systems, Cyber security, administration and database design.
  • Good understanding software development process.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience.
  • Must have demonstratable proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical ability and strong capability to make sound judgments.
  • Functions well under pressure and easily pivots as deadlines and priorities change.
  • Proficient in use of CRM solutions.
  • Solid understanding of IT project management and ITIL Framework.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including an innate ability to communicate on overall efforts, progress, and results.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years' experience in the Aviation IT industry, with a focus on baggage or passenger experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
