This role supports Prototek’s growing demand for complex CNC machining and EDM programs. As a CNC Programmer, you’ll play a critical role in developing accurate, efficient programs that drive production success across prototype and short-run manufacturing.

This is a high-impact position where your programming decisions directly influence cycle time, quality, and overall shop performance.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Develop advanced CNC programs for 3-axis, 5-axis, and lathe machining
  • Create and optimize toolpaths using Fusion 360
  • Design fixtures and workholding solutions for complex geometries
  • Select tooling and optimize spindle time for efficiency
  • Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to programming strategies
  • Validate programs and ensure quality before production release
  • Continuously improve existing programs for performance and repeatability
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and project managers on job planning and quoting

Machines: CNC Mills (3-axis, 5-axis), CNC Lathes, EDM equipment
