Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a QA QC Inspector for a steel and ductile pipe manufacturing plant in Stanton, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19.16–$27.79/hr. In this role, you will inspect incoming materials, in-process product, and finished pipe shipments for conformance to work orders, measuring dimensional and thread specifications using hand measuring tools. This schedule runs Monday through Saturday.


Pay: $19.16–$27.79/hr

Schedule: Mon–Thu 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Sat 7:00 AM–12:00 PM

Location: Stanton, CA

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant / Factory


Responsibilities

  • Perform visual receiving, in-process, and final inspection of steel and ductile pipe products to verify conformance to work order specifications.
  • Measure dimensional and thread specifications — including NPT (National Pipe Tapered) threads — using measuring tapes, diameter tapes, thread micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
  • Document non-conforming product and report findings to the Plant Manager for rework.
  • Verify completed orders against sales order requirements before final shipment release.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce quality control procedures throughout the facility.
  • Identify areas for quality improvement and implement new methods in coordination with the Plant Manager.


Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a quality control role in the manufacturing industry.
  • High school diploma or GED.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with hand measuring tools including measuring tapes, diameter tapes, thread micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for documenting and maintaining inspection records.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret work order specifications.
