We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that requires working directly on the production floor, inspecting parts at the machines throughout the manufacturing process. This is not an office-only inspection position. The ideal candidate enjoys being actively involved in production, working alongside machinists to ensure quality is maintained from first article through final inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections
- Complete and maintain AS9102 FAIR documentation
- Inspect parts using surface plate setups and hand measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications, including GD&T
- Operate inspection equipment including Laser Tracker and Romer Arm using Verisurf software
- Utilize CAD inspection software (PC-DMIS 2025)
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Work closely with machinists and production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues
- Support compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, customer specifications, and GD&T.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other mechanical inspection tools.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CMMs, Laser Tracker, and Romer Arm inspection equipment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Verisurf software and PC-DMIS.
- Experience working within AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with machinists and production personnel.
- Ability to spend the majority of the workday on the manufacturing floor, standing, walking, and performing inspections directly at CNC machines.
