Job description

SOLDERING TECHNICIAN


JOB OVERVIEW

☒ HOURLY ☐ SALARY

This is an entry level non-exempt position. This individual is responsible for hand-soldering and assembly of electronic components. Soldering experience is required. Individuals in this position must be able to pass and electronic soldering test.

Items listed in this description are not intended to be a full or complete list of duties. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Position is SEDENTARY with lifting, pushing/pulling, or carrying 0-25% of the time of less than 10lbs. Soldering work 75 – 100% of the time. Position is primary preformed in CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILL SET

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 2 years hand soldering experience is required.

REQUIRED TRAINING

• Soldering certification a plus

• OSHA-10

• First Aid/CPR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hand soldering and assembly of electronic components to according to schematics.

• Ability to clearly understand verbal/written instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.

• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language.

• Desire to be a team player.

• Set up, use, and verify the functionality of safety equipment.

• Use equipment such as soldering iron, crimpers, and wire stripers to ensure quality production.

• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.

• Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.

• Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.

• Keep manufacturing production logs.
