SolarWinds Administrator / Systems EngineerDepartment: Operations / Infrastructure
 Reports To: Director of Infrastructure Operations (or equivalent)
 Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid work schedule)
 Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Summary
Clearspan is seeking an experienced SolarWinds Administrator / Systems Engineer responsible for the administration, optimization, and continual improvement of the enterprise monitoring platform and supporting infrastructure. This role serves as the organization's SolarWinds subject matter expert while also supporting Windows and Linux servers, enterprise applications, virtualization, cloud services, and operational automation. The successful candidate will partner with the NOC, Engineering, Development, Customer Operations, and Security teams to maximize service availability and operational visibility.
Primary Responsibilities
·       Own the administration, maintenance, upgrades, security, backups, and optimization of the SolarWinds platform.
·       Configure and maintain NPM, SAM, NCM, NTA, IPAM, SCM, Orion Platform, and Additional Polling Engines.
·       Develop monitoring standards, dashboards, reports, alerts, and executive operational views.
·       Design monitoring strategies for networks, servers, virtualization, databases, cloud platforms, UCaaS applications, SIP infrastructure, and BroadWorks/BroadSoft environments.
·       Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
·       Support VMware infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, storage, and server lifecycle management.
·       Support production applications, coordinate upgrades, and develop monitoring templates for internally developed software.
·       Develop PowerShell and/or Python automation to improve operational efficiency.
·       Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
·       Support SOC 2, customer audits, and security hardening activities.
Required Qualifications
·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.
·       2 or more years administering SolarWinds in an enterprise environment.
·       Experience supporting Windows Server and Linux environments.
·       Experience with virtualization.
·       Strong knowledge of SNMP, WMI, ICMP, REST APIs, Syslog, NetFlow, and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
·       SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP).
·       Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco certifications.
·       Experience with Cisco BroadWorks/BroadSoft, SIP, VoIP, and hosted UCaaS platforms.
·       Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
·       Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, or comparable ITSM platforms.
