About the Opportunity:

FedTec is looking for a Sr. Unix Administrator who would play a pivotal role in all security/compliance functions for Solaris AND Red Hat Linux environments.

Title: Sr Unix Administrator

Location: Montgomery, AL/Mechanicsburg, PA/Oklahoma City, OK/Ogden UT

Certification: CompTIA Security+

Clearance: Secret or higher

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all security/compliance functions for Solaris AND Red Hat Linux environments to monitor and mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance within specified timelines.
  • Perform back-up/recovery functions for Solaris AND Linux server environment.
  • Perform hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with MPs to minimize disruptions.
  • Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent UNIX-based Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments, providing technical oversight and consultation services.
  • Work with and manage Incident Management tickets within the help desk ticketing system.
  • Provide technical support for disaster recovery efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of systems administration experience on UNIX operating systems Linux, Solaris, or HP-UX.
  • Experience with Disaster recovery and data replication.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting, tuning, and patching experience.
  • Experience with administration, configuration, and troubleshooting experience with UNIX Server Cluster, Load Balancing, and Virtualization.
  • Certifications: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is a Must.
