Overview

The Enterprise Architect should have a strong understanding of the industry and demonstrate technical skills in networking, infrastructure, applications, cloud, and related technologies. You champion digital transformation and innovation, and have a holistic, long-term view to enable success through technology. You will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with both technology and business leaders to understand business objectives to set the technology strategy and architecture to achieve these objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to work with a range of business leaders on numerous projects at a time
  • Ability to lead and energise teams to deliver at their highest potential
  • Experience with architecting optimal enterprise-wide technology framework
  • Strong understanding of leading technology components and best practices in areas including:
    • Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, Public, Private, and Hybrid)
    • Virtualisation (VMware, AWS, Azure, and GCP)
    • Network, Server, Storage, Database, and Datacenter Design
    • Data management, including data warehouses and data lakes
    • Microsoft suite of tools (Azure, Power Platform, O365, Teams, etc.)
    • ERP systems implementation and maintenance (experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred)
    • Cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, IASME, ISO IEC 27001/ISO 2700212)
    • Experience with application architecture including layout of application’s deployment and design
    • Experience with automation and orchestration including streamlining tasks through a repeatable and uninterrupted process and automating the execution of complex processes with a variety of variables
    • Capable of developing processes and architecture for integrating disparate services
    • Skilled in ITSM to promote processes needed to manage the provisioning, capacity, performance, and availability of the operational and service environments
    • Proficiency in working with Active Directory and related directory services
    • Proficiency in working with Windows and Unix file systems
    • Proficiency in ITIL and service management best practices and leading platforms (such as ServiceNow)
    • Exposure to Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and Skype (in a systems design or administration role)
    • Exposure to Orchestration, Automation, and Management tools (WinShuttle, SCCM, OpenIT, etc.)
    • Understanding of cloud security principals including Identity and Access Management and Access Control Concepts
    • Strong understanding of BCDR as it relates to cloud environments and how-to architect platforms with adequate resiliency features
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technology solutions
    • Experience with managing the governance, risk and compliance aspect of cloud-based technology
    • Demonstrated knowledge of technology project risks and strategies for managing and mitigating them
Licenses/ Certifications
  • Technology specific certifications around VMware, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, MCSA/MCSE, Cisco, SAP, etc. are strongly preferred
  • Certifications including but not limited to disciplines such as architecture (e.g., TOGAF), application life cycle management (e.g., PMP, Agile Scrum/Product Owner, SAFe, DevOps), service management (e.g., ITIL) are a plus
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, or another related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years experience in IT, networking infrastructure, applications, cloud, and related technologies
  • Technology specific certifications around VMware, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, MCSA/MCSE, Cisco, SAP, etc. are strongly preferred
  • Certifications including but not limited to disciplines such as architecture (e.g., TOGAF), application life cycle management (e.g., PMP, Agile Scrum/Product Owner, SAFe, DevOps), service management (e.g., ITIL) are a plus
