• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for clients to understand their mental health needs and challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices to inform treatment planning.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that define clear goals and therapeutic interventions, which may include modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Implement therapeutic interventions effectively, adapting techniques to cater to the individual needs of each client.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards, ensuring meticulous documentation of all client interactions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide holistic care.
• Educate and support patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, ensuring they feel empowered and informed.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the mental health field to enhance your clinical practice.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Solaris Health System, you will serve a diverse client population, including adults struggling with a variety of mental health issues. The individuals you support may be experiencing mild to severe conditions including anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and other related challenges. It’s your role to foster a safe and welcoming space, allowing clients to express their concerns and pursue their mental health goals.

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Strong understanding of solution-focused psychotherapy interventions and techniques to tailor your therapeutic approach effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities that aid in developing innovative solutions for clients' issues.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to a supportive and collaborative culture.

• Experience in community-based mental health settings, particularly in outpatient clinics, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and the ability to apply them based on client needs.
• Previous work with diverse populations, understanding the unique challenges and strengths they may possess.
