Position Overview

Solaris Health System is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. This full-time remote position is designed for licensed mental health professionals who are committed to providing high-quality therapeutic services. Work Environment

This role is a fully remote position, designed to accommodate mental health professionals who require flexibility in their work environment. While you will primarily work from home, you will be part of a closely-knit team that values collaboration and communication. Your work hours will typically be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility to meet the varying needs of your clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of clients, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as solution-focused therapy to develop tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other recognized modalities to facilitate positive client outcomes.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring that sensitive patient information is adequately protected.
• Collaborate with a rich multidisciplinary treatment team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide well-rounded care.
• Participate in routine case consultations and peer review meetings to continually enhance service quality and clinical effectiveness.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, potential treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
• Stay informed on current research and developments in the mental health field to apply the latest findings to your practice effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse range of clients dealing with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our patients come from different backgrounds and communities, enhancing the diversity of their experiences and the approaches required. As a Mental Health Counselor at Solaris Health System, you will be critical in helping your clients achieve improved mental health and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong understanding of solution-focused psychotherapy interventions and techniques to provide personalized care to clients.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build rapport with clients and work effectively as part of a treatment team.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities to navigate complex client situations and develop innovative care plans.
• A collaborative mindset, embracing the contributions of colleagues and supporting a culture of professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community health or clinical setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate documentation and client communication.
• Experience working with a diverse and multicultural client population.
• Understanding of local community resources and support systems for client referrals.
