Empower Solar is a full service, residential solar installer looking for experienced and driven individuals to join our ever-growing team! Installers will work as part of a team installing all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment ensuring successful operation of complete photovoltaic system under the direct supervision of Operations Manager.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leads Solar installation on site
  • Responsible for the care and safety of the crew members on jobsites.
  • Assures completeness of Installation from Roof to Electrical
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Collect data and photos during and at the end of each project
  • Organize, lead and train crews to complete projects within company's SOP's
  • Knowledge and experience with installation of Battery Back-up systems
  • Complete projects within given time frames and budgets
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and control, with an emphasis on crew safety
  • Competently delegate work amongst crew and resolve potential crew issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
  • Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability
  • Other tasks duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years' solar installation experience in both commercial and residential applications
  • Knowledge of basic residential, commercial and battery storage installations
  • Minimum 1 year of leading a crew of 3 or more
  • Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.)
  • Capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs)
  • Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in the construction and solar industries, such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
  • Self-motivated with an attention to productivity, detail and safety
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during work, including but not limited to peers and customers
  • Ability to read basic solar and electrical plans
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication and documentation skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift. Have to ability to listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 75 pounds.
