Job Description

Summary of Position

The Warehouse Packer is responsible for preparing our finished solar panels for shipment. This includes stretch-wrapping and strapping panels, moving them around our facility using pallet jacks and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished products for visible damage and verify quantities before packaging.
  • Label pallets and cartons accurately in preparation for shipment.
  • Palletize, wrap, and strap finished goods to meet shipping requirements.
  • Operate pallet jacks to move materials to designated staging and shipping areas.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
  • Report damaged, missing, or nonconforming materials to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including aisles and workstations.
  • Clean and prepare workstations and equipment as needed.
  • Always follow all safety procedures and standard work instructions.
  • Support inventory accuracy through basic verification and handling tasks.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds independently and participate in team lifts of approximately 60 pounds as required for essential production tasks.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position or move throughout the production floor for extended periods (for the duration of the shift up to 8+ hours per shift).
  • Must be able to operate, position, adjust, or move equipment, tools, or materials necessary for production processes.
  • Capable of performing consistent, manual production tasks over long shifts.
  • Must be able to work in typical manufacturing environmental conditions, including areas requiring PPE, exposure to noise, and temperature variation.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
