Job Description
Summary of Position
The Director of Commercial Sales is responsible for leading and driving the sales for C&I and light Utility projects on behalf of Silfab. The Director of Commercial Sales will develop the key strategies and procedures to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base for Silfab Solar's solar products. This position plays a key role in developing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and promoting the company's solar solutions to achieve business growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet company sales goals and objectives specifically related to the C&I and light Utility market.
  • Develop the strategy and network for Silfab C&I US made products by identifying key customers that mutually benefit from a US made solar supply partner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solar solutions.
  • Develop and implement the internal resources required to manage and grow a successful C&I division within the Silfab sales team.
  • Identify new market opportunities and target customer segments to expand Silfab's market presence.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to launch new products and promotional campaigns effectively.
  • Analyze and report sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and enhance sales strategies.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and budget reports to track performance and align with financial goals.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to showcase Silfab's solar products and build industry connections.
  • Ensure adherence to sales policies, ethical standards, and compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications
Skills
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience in achieving revenue targets within the US solar C&I and Utility markets.
  • Strong understanding of solar products, technology and contractual content within the US C&I market.
  • Extensive network of US solar contacts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
  • Experience in selling, developing, managing US commercial solar projects.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, data analysis, and sales reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Education and/or Experience

  • Previous record of winning and growing business despite market conditions, competition and other barriers
