Job Description

Eurofins Drinking Water and Waste Water West is seeking a Login Technician I to join our Corvallis, OR location.

The Login Technician I receives samples and enters the required data from the Chain of Custody into the data system while assuring that sufficient sample is received and preserved to meet all the methods requested, hold times are possible to meet and samples were taken correctly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive samples, unpack coolers, label containers, scan shipping documentation, and perform sample login. 
  • Data entry for sample login with a high level of attention to detail
  • Verify sample preservation, following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Delivery of samples to walk-in refrigerators or lab areas after receipt
  • Assist with sample disposal queue and actions
  • Produce bottle kits, add preservatives to containers, and perform shipping, receiving, and login duties.
  • Ship samples to other laboratories as needed. 
  • Clean equipment, such as glassware, coolers, sinks, tables, samplers using solvents, water - and detergents or acids according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Customer service responsibilities. Assisting customers in person, via phone, or email. 
  • Assisting clients with forms, processing payments, and provide customer support as needed. 
  • Follow safe work practices and adheres to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
  • May perform courier duties as necessitated to support lab and client needs.
  • Performs other duties, as directed
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Must be familiar with MS Office programs such as Outlook, Explorer, Excel and Word. Database
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs routinely and safely and must be able to work standing for most of the day
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Minimum Skills and Abilities

  • Professional, knowledgeable, confident, and friendly demeanor. 
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must be detail oriented with the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently and have the ability to follow complex instructions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and a willingness to meet daily commitments with a widely varying workload
  • An understanding of basic chemistry is not required but is a plus

Additional Information

The position is a full time Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with possibility of overtime. 

Compensation: $19.00 - $22.60 / hr DOE.
