Part Time/Night Shift

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS-accredited MLS program or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology or
  • Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists or

  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a laboratory department or performing duties that meet or exceed those in the MLS I job description
