Job description

Overview

Overviewย

This position is within the Product Management division, which is accountable for the success of our software solutions by working cross-functionally with teams that develop, market,ย sellย and support them.ย

ย

The Opportunityย

We'reย looking for a Senior Product Manager who's energized by ambiguity and genuinely excited to build things thatย don'tย exist yet. Thisย isn'tย aย maintain-the-roadmap role -ย you'llย beย identifyingย new opportunities in commercial construction and building products from the ground up, while also staying one step ahead of where the industry is heading.ย

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doingย

Product Strategy & Visionย

  • Define and drive product vision and strategy that aligns with company objectivesย

  • Develop comprehensive product roadmaps with clear business justificationsย

  • Rapidly evaluate viability and affordability assumptions to move quickly on new product ideas and feature enhancementsย

  • Identifyย and prioritize market opportunities through competitive analysis and industry trendsย

Product Development & Executionย

  • Embrace our agile product development process that uses continuous discovery habits and the Product Operating Model, as defined by SVPGย

  • Lead design thinking exercises to explore and define solutions forย identifiedย product opportunitiesย

  • Define product requirements at the epic level and collaborate with Product Designers and Tech Leadsย

  • Establish, track, and measure success using well-defined KPIs tied to business and customer outcomes, including velocity and learning metricsย appropriate toย early-stage productsย

Competitive & Market Intelligenceย

  • Evaluate the competitive landscape toย identifyย emerging threats and opportunities - particularly from AI-forward entrants reshaping the construction technology marketย

  • Translateย market intelligence and rapid prototyping resultsย intoย clear recommendations on whereย ConstructConnect'sย product portfolio should evolveย

AI & Emerging Technologyย

  • Design and ship AI-native features - not just features that use AI, but products where AI is the core value driverย

  • Stay current on applied AI/ML developments relevant to construction technology and data productsย

  • Partner with engineering to evaluate model quality, data requirements, and feasibility tradeoffsย

Customer & Market Focusย

  • Build andย maintainย a consistent customer discovery practice - staying close to real users ensuresย we'reย solving the right problems, not assumptionsย

  • Focus on Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Organization, and product metrics to inform decision-makingย

  • Helpย identifyย business opportunities to integrate with other software vendorsย

  • Serve as the go-to expert on assigned products, fostering a deep understanding of the commercial construction marketplace, particularly pre-construction workflows and buyer behaviorย

Leadership & Influenceย

  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and customer insights to leadership and stakeholdersย

  • Work cross-functionally to manage dependencies and ensure seamless executionย

  • Be a product evangelist both internally and externallyย

This job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to perform

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Teamย

Required Qualificationsย

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related fieldย

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in product management or product analyst roleย

  • Experience working for a software-as-a-service companyย

  • Experience shipping a product from zero - where you had to define the problem,ย validateย the market, and build a roadmap from the ground upย

  • Demonstratedย track recordย of successfully launching and growing software productsย

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product lifecycle managementย

  • Working knowledge of applied AI/ML - beyond terminology; you understand capabilities, limitations, and how to scope AI-powered featuresย

  • Strong analytical and metrics skillsย

  • Superior decision-making, analytical, and time management skillsย

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersย

Preferred Qualificationsย

  • MBA from an accredited institutionย

  • Experience inย orย knowledge of the commercial construction industryย

  • Experience with construction or estimating softwareย

  • Experience leading cross-functional teamsย

  • Product certification (e.g., CSPO, CPO)ย

  • Experience with product analytics toolsย

  • Experience with competitive intelligence or market analysisย

Personal Attributesย

  • Strategic thinking withย a high levelย of business acumenย

  • Results-oriented and action-drivenย

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skillsย

  • Adaptability and comfort working in ambiguous environmentsย

  • Intellectually curious - youย askย "why not?" as often as "why?"ย

  • Technical savvy and quick learnerย

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extendedย periods. Visual acuity isย requiredย to perform activities close to the eyes.
  • Team members are expected toย maintainย a dedicated and ergonomicallyย appropriate remoteย workspace.
  • Team members who live within commuting distance of our office location (Atlanta, Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence every Tuesday and Wednesday each week.ย
  • All team members mustย resideย and perform their work within the United States
