Job description

Overview

Overview

This position is within the Product Management division, which is accountable for the success of our software solutions by working cross-functionally with teams that develop, market, sell and support them.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager who's energized by ambiguity and genuinely excited to build things that don't exist yet. This isn't a maintain-the-roadmap role - you'll be identifying new opportunities in commercial construction and building products from the ground up, while also staying one step ahead of where the industry is heading.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and drive product vision and strategy that aligns with company objectives

  • Develop comprehensive product roadmaps with clear business justifications

  • Rapidly evaluate viability and affordability assumptions to move quickly on new product ideas and feature enhancements

  • Identify and prioritize market opportunities through competitive analysis and industry trends

Product Development & Execution

  • Embrace our agile product development process that uses continuous discovery habits and the Product Operating Model, as defined by SVPG

  • Lead design thinking exercises to explore and define solutions for identified product opportunities

  • Define product requirements at the epic level and collaborate with Product Designers and Tech Leads

  • Establish, track, and measure success using well-defined KPIs tied to business and customer outcomes, including velocity and learning metrics appropriate to early-stage products

Competitive & Market Intelligence

  • Evaluate the competitive landscape to identify emerging threats and opportunities - particularly from AI-forward entrants reshaping the construction technology market

  • Translate market intelligence and rapid prototyping results into clear recommendations on where ConstructConnect's product portfolio should evolve

AI & Emerging Technology

  • Design and ship AI-native features - not just features that use AI, but products where AI is the core value driver

  • Stay current on applied AI/ML developments relevant to construction technology and data products

  • Partner with engineering to evaluate model quality, data requirements, and feasibility tradeoffs

Customer & Market Focus

  • Build and maintain a consistent customer discovery practice - staying close to real users ensures we're solving the right problems, not assumptions

  • Focus on Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Organization, and product metrics to inform decision-making

  • Help identify business opportunities to integrate with other software vendors

  • Serve as the go-to expert on assigned products, fostering a deep understanding of the commercial construction marketplace, particularly pre-construction workflows and buyer behavior

Leadership & Influence

  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and customer insights to leadership and stakeholders

  • Work cross-functionally to manage dependencies and ensure seamless execution

  • Be a product evangelist both internally and externally

This job description in no way implies that the duties listed here are the only ones that team members can be required to perform

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in product management or product analyst role

  • Experience working for a software-as-a-service company

  • Experience shipping a product from zero - where you had to define the problem, validate the market, and build a roadmap from the ground up

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully launching and growing software products

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management

  • Working knowledge of applied AI/ML - beyond terminology; you understand capabilities, limitations, and how to scope AI-powered features

  • Strong analytical and metrics skills

  • Superior decision-making, analytical, and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from an accredited institution

  • Experience in or knowledge of the commercial construction industry

  • Experience with construction or estimating software

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Product certification (e.g., CSPO, CPO)

  • Experience with product analytics tools

  • Experience with competitive intelligence or market analysis

Personal Attributes

  • Strategic thinking with a high level of business acumen

  • Results-oriented and action-driven

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills

  • Adaptability and comfort working in ambiguous environments

  • Intellectually curious - you ask "why not?" as often as "why?"

  • Technical savvy and quick learner

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting, telephone communication, and working on a computer for extended periods. Visual acuity is required to perform activities close to the eyes.
  • Team members are expected to maintain a dedicated and ergonomically appropriate remote workspace.
  • Team members who live within commuting distance of our office location (Atlanta, Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with regular in-office presence every Tuesday and Wednesday each week.
  • All team members must reside and perform their work within the United States
