Summary of Position

St. Michael's Prep seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time Offensive Line Coach for its upper school football program. This stipend role suits those committed to student-athlete growth on and off the field.


Job Details

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Instruct, develop, and mentor offensive line student-athletes in alignment with program philosophy and values.
  • Plan and conduct position-specific drills, technique sessions, and film study.
  • Collaborate with the head coach and offensive coordinator to design effective blocking schemes and game strategies.
  • Teach and reinforce elite-level fundamentals: stance, footwork, leverage, hand placement, and pass/run blocking.
  • Emphasize physical and mental toughness, discipline, and teamwork.
  • Monitor and support players' academic progress and character development.
  • Assist in developing practice plans and scouting reports.
  • Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging environment that aligns with the school's Catholic mission.
  • Attend all practices, games, team meetings, and required staff functions.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school or college coaching experience (varsity preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of offensive line play and blocking concepts
  • Proven ability to teach and motivate student-athletes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Commitment to school mission and values
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching staff
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass background and reference checks as required by the school

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience coaching in a competitive high school football program
  • Understanding of strength and conditioning principles for linemen
  • Familiarity with HUDL or similar film analysis software
