ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service will lead and manage a team responsible for ticket sales and retention for the University of South Florida. Tasked with delivering on annual ticket sales revenue goals, this position includes the opportunity to work directly on selling-out South Florida's new football stadium, opening in the Fall of 2027 and located on-campus for the first time in school history
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and establish processes that ensure the team meets its ticket sales revenue goals
  • Serve as a strategic leader in the launch and long-term success of USF's new on-campus football stadium, overseeing premium seating sales strategy, seat selection operations, new revenue initiatives, and the transition of existing Season Ticket Members into the new venue experience
  • Lead the sales team tasked with selling season tickets and group tickets for select University of South Florida athletics programs, including football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball and lacrosse
  • Meet or exceed annual team ticket sales and/or retention goals
  • Work closely with the Elevate and USF data analytics teams to identify quality leads and monitor revenue pipeline, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
  • Develop and maintain a competitive sales team culture, leading sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Establish service and retention-oriented processes to attentively respond to all Season Ticket Member and customer requests, concerns, and inquiries
  • Manage team to effectively balance service calls and touchpoints with outbound sales responsibilities in an effort to maintain overall customer satisfaction
  • Train sales and service team to identify opportunities for up-sells, add-ons, and referral business from clients to maximize revenue
  • Work alongside the Elevate and USF marketing teams to optimize online sales performance, driving potential ticket buyers to place deposits for and purchase season, partial, groups, premium and single game tickets online
  • Plan and implement existing Season Ticket Member and general fan events
  • Establish processes to optimize service efficiency through Season Ticket Members' use of online account management (Account Manager)
  • Manage team's game day duties, including but not limited to, hosting member events, sales meetings, and service needs
  • Any other duties assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education and/or Experience
  • 8-years of experience in ticket sales
  • Minimum 4-years in management role leading a ticket sales team
  • Proven ability to develop and train staff and identify future sales candidates
  • History as a top revenue producer for a sports and/or entertainment organization
  • Track record of achieving and surpassing sales goals

B. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Must be coachable and possess a growth mindset in a fast-paced environment and changing landscape
  • Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team, and career oriented
  • Must have ability to maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times
  • Must have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work independently and multi-task
  • Must possess strong communication skills; be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong, active listening skills

  • Goal oriented whether that is around driving revenue, provided service or helping daily operations
  • Be able to identify problems, their sources, and their potential solutions while continuing to successfully conduct day-to-day operations without interruptions.

Working Environment
  • The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend additional athletic event(s) and/or department events as scheduled throughout the year
