Manager Engineering- NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Develops information technology strategies, polices and plans. Responsible for analysis, design, implementation, operations, and support of the organization's IT resources, systems, and software/database products. Coordinates software issues with development and operation resources and supports configuration, security, monitoring, and reporting processes. Implement and execute strategies for a larger team (or multiple smaller teams) to deliver business results. Solve complex problems using limited information; implement solutions taking into consideration future implications. Work with non-routine information and develop recommendations to gain approval of ideas or services. Manage design processes to ensure design deliverables and timelines and budgets are met. Responsible for performance management, pay and resourcing decisions for direct reports. Provide recommendations for investments in technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analyses. Provide leadership to the squad, delivering a vision for work requirements for the quarter. Design the scope of sprints within the quarter. Mentor and develop the capabilities of team members. Conduct technical assessments of team members and provide feedback on performance as necessary. Demonstrate the ability to hold team members accountable to quality standards, ensuring that the needs of the business are met and a high-quality user experience is delivered. Conduct technical interviews of candidates internally and across domains. Participate in external conferences, forums, user groups and bring new technical information into the organization.
