Job description

Dealpath's engineering team is built on technical excellence, collaboration, impact, and execution, and we operate at the frontier of AI-powered real estate technology. We're looking to add an Engineering Manager who combines proven leadership with a genuine fluency in AI-assisted development, and the ability to coach their team to work effectively in that environment.

We're hiring experienced Engineering Managers for full-time roles, with a hybrid schedule that includes three days a week in the office in New York City.

You're excited about this opportunity because you'll:
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of talented software engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Champion AI-forward engineering practices using AI tools consistently in your own work and coaching your team to do the same: prompting with context and constraints, reviewing AI-generated code critically, and knowing when to rely on AI versus reason independently.
  • Drive execution of high-impact product initiatives in close partnership with Product, Design, and Quality teams.
  • Recruit and onboard world-class engineering talent.
  • Provide clarity in scope and timelines while ensuring delivery of high-quality, testable, and secure code.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to evolve platform architecture and technical strategy.
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, transparency, and accountability within the team and across the company.
We're excited that you are:
  • Bringing deep technical expertise with 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experienced in leading and managing software engineering teams (3+ years in management or technical leadership).
  • Passionate about enabling engineers to do their best work through coaching, feedback, and career development, including practical mentorship on AI coding tools and when to apply them.
  • Technically strong in modern web application development (React, Node.js, Ruby, or similar).
  • Skilled in building SaaS products at scale, with a focus on quality, security, and performance.
  • An excellent communicator, able to work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Sales.
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage startup environment.
  • Fluent in AI-assisted development. You use tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar regularly in your own work, apply a deliberate review process before relying on AI output, and are ready to help engineers on your team develop the same habits.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or equivalent leadership role.
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • You have experience scaling teams in a startup or growth-stage environment.
  • Track record of delivering enterprise SaaS products, ideally in B2B or FinTech/PropTech.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance technical depth and business impact.
  • Consistent, hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar). Uses AI regularly across engineering tasks, validates output before shipping, and can coach engineers to build the same disciplined habits.
The Perks & Culture:
  • Medical, dental, & vision insurance coverage
  • Hybrid 3-days in office policy in NYC
  • Flexible Spending Account
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • 401(k)
  • Company-sponsored commuter benefits
  • Flexible time off policy
  • Catered lunches and snacks
  • Monthly wellness reimbursement
  • The estimated pay range for New York candidates for this position is $200,000 - $230,000 base.
  • This position is also eligible for Dealpath's equity plan. Your compensation will be based upon several factors including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and the skills assessed in Dealpath's interview process.
  • Your actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
