THE ROLE

Lead the Flashblade//EXA platform engineering team to build the foundational architecture powering the industry's highest-performing AI storage portfolio. In this role, you will accelerate the execution of core platform software integrating cutting-edge Linux kernel, networking, and NVMe technologies, collaborating directly with Product and Release management to drive massive business impact in the AI neocloud market.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Accelerate High-Performance Deliverables: Lead and scale an engineering team to successfully enable next-generation hardware platforms, Linux kernel optimizations, and advanced NVMe networking technologies.

  • Own Predictable Software Releases: Champion the end-to-end execution of Purity software releases by establishing structured release plans that hit critical milestones in close partnership with Program and Release Management.

  • Safeguard Platform Stability: Architect and implement advanced continuous integration strategies and phased feature rollouts to de-risk complex platform deliveries and ensure rock-solid production quality.

  • Drive Strategic Vendor Integration: Manage high-impact technical engagements with external partners and vendors to seamlessly integrate third-party components into the Flashblade//EXA ecosystem.

  • Translate Strategy to Impact: Align business objectives with engineering goals, ensuring the team's technical output directly optimizes platform performance, stability, and customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Technical Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience guiding technical software engineering teams through complex product cycles while maintaining strong architectural oversight.

  • Systems-Level Expertise: Deep technical command of Linux kernel engineering or protocol development within storage, networking, or server domains.

  • Industry Standard Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of storage and networking technologies, specifically including NVMe, NFS, and RoCE.

  • Lifecycle Ownership: A proven track record of managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for enterprise infrastructure products, steering teams toward predictable, customer-aligned schedules.

  • Core Engineering Skills: Strong programming proficiency in C/C++, hands-on familiarity with automation scripting, and practical expertise utilizing Agile frameworks and continuous integration pipelines.

  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
