Our US team combines automation, intelligence, and human expertise to simplify complex processes — accelerating cycle times, reducing costs, and improving outcomes across appraisal, repair, subrogation response, and auto/property estimating.

Our solutions help customers move beyond digital claims to a model that’s faster, smarter, and simpler — grounded in data accuracy, transparency, and customer experience.

As part of the Solvd Group, operating in 46+ countries, our mission is to drive results today while shaping the future of claims. From FNOL to final settlement, we connect technology and expertise to deliver precision, performance, and confidence at every stage.

Director of Software Engineering
We are seeking an experienced Director of Software Engineering responsible for the strategic leadership, architecture, and delivery of the company’s new, modern application platform. This role oversees multiple engineering teams, sets technical direction and standards across the organization, and owns the balance between greenfield platform development and the responsible modernization of legacy systems.

The role requires strong technical grounding in C# and .NET, proven experience building and leading engineering teams, and the ability to partner with executive leadership to align engineering strategy with business priorities.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for a new suite of applications built on C# and .NET
  • Set and enforce engineering standards for scalable, well-structured RESTful APIs and supporting services across all teams
  • Build, lead, and grow a team of engineers and engineering managers, including hiring, performance management, and career development
  • Establish and champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) and other engineering best practices organization-wide
  • Provide technical oversight through architecture and design reviews, upholding quality, security, and design standards
  • Mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical growth and accountability
  • Own the engineering roadmap and delivery planning, working with product, design, and business stakeholders
  • Oversee resourcing and prioritization for legacy system support and maintenance during modernization efforts
  • Partner with the VP of Engineering, product leadership, and other executive stakeholders on technical direction, budget, and delivery planning

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • 4+ years leading and managing engineering teams or managers of teams
  • Strong technical background in C# and .NET, with hands-on experience designing and building APIs, preferably with ASP.NET Core
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations
  • Strong practical experience with Test-Driven Development and modern engineering best practices
  • Working knowledge of Blazor (Server or WebAssembly) or similar modern web UI frameworks
  • Experience with recent versions of .NET (.NET 6+), Entity Framework, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Prior leadership of a significant application rewrite or greenfield system build
  • Proficiency with Git-based version control and issue tracking tools (e.g., GitHub, JIRA)
  • Proven ability to lead and manage distributed, remote engineering teams effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both engineering and executive audiences
  • Experience managing engineering budgets, headcount planning, and vendor/tooling decisions

What we offer:

  • A base salary of $160,000-$180,000/annually, based on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan options
  • Paid time off, sick time, and paid holidays.
  • A fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy.
  • The opportunity to grow with a dynamic, innovative team in a startup-like culture.
