Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Senior DA Systems Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Primary Function: The Senior Design Automation (DA) Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining product line engineering automation systems.

This includes providing experienced professional front end systems support with minimal direction to interpret automation projects using the design automation framework. The position interacts with product line engineers (COE) and designers (COD) to collect automation requests and (1) provide guidance on documenting these requests to IT, (2) create enhancement requests and automation scripts to increase the utilization of design automation modules, (3) support module deployments through content management and training activities, (4) serve as a product line liaison for automation requests and (5) provide and share best practices across the team with regards to design automation module deployment. This position is expected to have or demonstrate the ability to gain working knowledge of configuration requirements and the associated systems and processes in the division, including Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, POM, ENOVIA, MAPICS, AutoCAD and other site-specific tools.

Relocation assistance is offered for this position. Candidates must currently reside or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of an approved work location. Approved work locations include the following facilities: Greenwood SC, Fayetteville NC, and Arden NC.

What you'll do: Essential Functions: A. Deploying and supporting Design Automation modules for the assigned product line, inclusive of assisting in onsite deployments, scheduling of end user training, overseeing the rollout and communicating progress to engineering leadership. B.

Develop & maintain a roadmap of front end development projects including new product introduction to ensure the automation systems are aligned and maintained with planned offerings and enhanced to drive improvements to existing outputs. C. With limited supervision, work closely with experienced product line engineers and designers to collect required information needed to deploy enhancements/customizations to the DA core modules.

D. Support the development of product line specific training documentation on their use of the engineering software tools and processes. E.

Prepare and present activity and progress reports regarding all projects, including estimated hours of support, prioritization, and project schedules. Tracking performance against those estimates for accuracy and execution measurements. F.

Manage content requests and address issues surrounding DA content as it is applied to module deployment. G. Be available for after-hours and weekend support.

H. Participate in product line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across the various teams (engineering, design and systems) I. Maintain Front End Systems turnback/enhancement database (SharePoint tickets) and related Change Management processes, coordinating priorities with various stakeholders and team members.

J. Support defect resolution for ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets through error recreation and documentation through interactions with product line engineering teams, systems developers and IT developers. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology field from an accredited institution Three (3) years of applicable experience with engineered-to-order (ETO) products and their associated configuration tools.

Prior demonstrated experience with object-oriented programming Authorized to work in the US without Company Sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given toward candidates with extensive experience in Eaton's ETO software tools including, but not limited to: Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, Plant Order Manager, Pick Work Bench, etc. Experience as a Customer Order Engineer or Designer within an Eaton product line. Experience with C# scripting.

Skills: Position Criteria: Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient use and knowledge of ETO software systems and AutoCAD. Apply object-oriented programming language.
