Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the overall operation, direction, and supervisory duties of the Engineering Group.

  • Department develops, evaluates and improves processing methods and equipment.

  • Confers with process engineers in analyzing data to develop new processes for manufactured parts.

  • Ensures that testing on components and equipment is being done periodically to optimize operational performance and meet design specifications.

  • Recommends alterations or modifications of design to obtain specified functional and operations performance.

  • Applies statistical methods to assure conformance to customer specifications.

  • Participate in the cross-functional team for the purchase of new equipment for the CSP facility. Oversee the installation of various equipment, commission, and complete customer sign-off process.

  • Maintain the engineering budget for expendable items and outside contracted services

  • Manage outsourced engineering activities.

  • Lead continuous improvement activities of the engineering team for reducing downtime and optimize the statistical capability of molding process equipment currently monitored by the process control team.

  • Coordinate and fabricate any necessary tool and equipment that supports various departments.

  • Develop engineering procedures compliant with all health, safety and environmental regulatory guidelines of local, state and federal agencies.

  • Maintain TS-16949 procedures as they relate to engineering requirements and documentation thereof.

  • Ensure that all accidents are properly reported and accident investigations are completed within 24 hours.

  • Quality control - the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality before submitting for management review.

  • Safety and security - the individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.

  • Directs, promotes and reviews programs relating to safety, quality and productivity in the division and recommends changes where desirable.

  • Monitors compliance with all Health and Safety and ISO14001 policies and procedures.

  • Manage capital projects.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude and to maintain a positive and productive workplace.

  • To exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.

  • To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
