We are looking for a driven Software Development Manager to lead teams of passionate professionals responsible for the design, analysis and development of world class Supply Chain Management solutions for the Healthcare, third party logistics and retail industries.

Your responsibilities 

The Software Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development efforts and day to day challenges of teams responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining SaaS software and help them perform at their highest level. You will evaluate existing solutions to collaborate on technical decisions, determine projects and resource schedules, while monitoring project timelines and ensuring that team milestones and goals are met. You will manage a team of highly skilled and experienced developers with substantial track records at Tecsys and support them through the ongoing evolution of development practices, including the effective and responsible adoption of AI-assisted software engineering to improve productivity, quality, and delivery. 

What you'll do 

  • Develop and lead teams of developers, lead developers, software developers in test and quality assurance analysts 
  • Develop and communicate a clear, strategic vision and project goals 
  • Determine projects schedules, monitor timelines and ensure that milestones and goals are met 
  • Continually collaborate with Product Management and technical leadership to validate plans and ensure delivery of effective solutions  
  • Lead the team through the evolution of software development practices, including the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows 
  • Oversee and facilitate efficient agile practices  
  • Help teams identify, evaluate and implement practical uses of AI to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and speed of delivery 
  • Nurture motivation and well-being within the teams 
  • Steer team career development, and see to training needs 

Requirements

Your qualifications: 
  • 5+ years in team and project management in a SaaS environment 
  • Thirst for challenge, drive and ability to motivate others 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for teamwork  
  • Experience in team leadership and change management 
  • Experience in team expansion, including hiring, onboarding, training and supervision 
  • Deep knowledge and experience of agile values and principles 
  • College or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline. 
  • Experience with SaaS is an asset .
  • Bilingual
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
