.NET Software Engineer / SRE I
DETAILS
Location: Location: Arlington, TX 76014 (hybrid onsite 2-days per week)
Position Type: Direct-Hire
Hourly / Salary: to $110K (based on experience) + 10% bonus structure
JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a .NET Software Engineer / SRE I for a Direct-Hire opportunity that is located in Arlington, TX 76014 (hybrid onsite 2-day per week).  The .NET Software Engineer / SRE I will help bridge the gap between software development and Site Reliability Engineering by applying strong .NET development skills to improve application reliability, automation, and operational excellence.
About the Project: This is an ongoing multi-year digital transformation initiative (now roughly 2+ years in) focused on modernizing financial services platforms, making them more scalable, reliable, automated, and cloud-native. The .NET Software Engineer / SRE I will join an established Software Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering team, leveraging strong C# /.NET development skills while learning modern SRE practices through hands-on experience. Rather than building customer-facing business applications, the Software Engineer / SRE I will contribute to internal engineering initiatives that improve application reliability, automation, operational efficiency, and developer productivity. The Software Engineer / SRE I will enhance existing .NET applications, debug production issues, support automation efforts, contribute to reliability improvements, and collaborate across multiple engineering teams within the Microsoft technology ecosystem. This is not a traditional infrastructure-focused SRE role, nor a typical business application developer position. Instead, it provides an opportunity for a Software Engineer to develop expertise in cloud technologies, automation, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering while working alongside experienced engineers on enterprise-scale platforms.
