Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027
Employment Type: W2 Contract | 8 Months with Possibility of Extension
Pay Rate: $58.30 - $63.30/hour | Paid Weekly

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation Flight Management Systems (FMS) supporting advanced avionics technology.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing Flight Management System (FMS) software, strong C++ programming expertise, and a passion for designing high-performance, safety-critical software. Working alongside talented software and systems engineers, you'll play a key role in delivering innovative avionics solutions for next-generation aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Flight Management System (FMS) software.
  • Develop core software architecture and applications for next-generation avionics platforms.
  • Integrate Flight Management software into new aerospace products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develop software solutions that meet performance, scalability, security, and certification requirements.
  • Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Perform software testing, debugging, integration, and validation using laboratory test benches.
  • Support functional software releases and certification activities.
  • Stay current with emerging software technologies, avionics standards, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum development activities and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of Flight Management System (FMS) software development experience.
  • Strong C++ programming and object-oriented software development skills.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or similar software development methodologies.
  • Strong software architecture and system design experience.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
