As a Sr Software Eng Manager here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead and manage software engineering teams focused on developing cutting-edge aerospace software solutions. Your leadership will drive the successful delivery of complex software projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
You will report directly to our senior leadership, and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the advancement of aerospace technologies by overseeing software development processes, fostering innovation, and ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet stringent aerospace industry standards.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage software engineering teams to deliver aerospace software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement software development plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards and aerospace compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software engineering processes and team performance.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in software engineering management, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
  • Strong expertise in software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and project management.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python, and experience with embedded systems software development.
  • Experience with aerospace software standards such as DO-178C and knowledge of safety-critical software development practices.
