Location: onsite in Foster City, CA


  • Helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Software Developer in Test to support the development and maintenance of automated testing solutions for critical mobile applications.
  • In this role, youโ€™ll help expand automated test coverage, reduce manual testing efforts, and support the reliability of mobile applications used by fleet operators and customers. Youโ€™ll work closely with software, infrastructure, and QA teams to develop automated tests, improve existing testing frameworks, and validate new functionality across iOS and Android platforms.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, enjoys solving technical problems, and is eager to grow their skills in test automation and mobile application testing.


As a Software Developer in Test, you'll:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android applications.
  • Support the enhancement of existing mobile test automation frameworks and testing infrastructure.
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of device farms in Sauce Labs and CI/CD testing workflows.
  • Help develop backend mocking solutions to support more reliable and efficient mobile application testing.
  • Create and execute functional, integration, and regression test suites.
  • Investigate test failures, analyze results, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to test coverage for new features, edge cases, and high-priority workflows.
  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and infrastructure teams to improve testing efficiency and software quality.


Qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in Python, Swift, Kotlin/Java
  • Strong hands-on experience on Kotlin Multiplatform and Saucelabs
  • Proven expertise with mobile app testing frameworks (XCUITest, Espresso, Compose and Appium)
  • Hands-on experience in API testing and test automation design patterns
  • Proficient with Testing tools like PyTest, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and JIRA Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, nginx Backend: Node.js, Express
