Job Title: Sr Staffing Specialist

Contract: 12 Months

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Job Summary

  • The Contract Internship & Co-Op Recruiter is a Talent Acquisition professional with knowledge and technical expertise in candidate management and hiring manager engagement.
  • Responsibilities will include the sourcing and recruitment of top talent for internship and co-op roles across Collins Aerospace in the United States.
    This role demands a target driven individual who excels under pressure, can operate in a high-volume requisition environment and can build strategic partnerships with hiring managers across our enterprise.
  • The role will be expected to balance interaction with hiring managers, candidates that apply to open requisitions and those candidates who are sourced directly from on-campus and diversity recruiting activities.
  • You will have a strong engagement with the Early Careers team, specifically our regional Collins Aerospace University Liaisons and our Internship/Co-op Recruiters.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition policies, practices and procedures with a specific knowledge in the early talent space is strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an internal consultant and adviser to hiring managers with basic recommendations in developing a plan of action to source, screen and hire internship and co-op talent.
  • Will manage a high-volume of early talent internship and co-op requisitions across the business through peak fall/spring recruiting seasons.
  • Will routinely receive instructions on work but also possesses the ability to think creatively when working with internal customers on decisions around filling requisitions.
  • Manage, accurately track and report out on all recruiting metrics related to assigned requisitions and candidate management.
  • Sourcing and recruiting of candidate backgrounds will include engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, accounting, human resources, digital technology, marketing, communication and others as assigned.
  • Communicates and drives influence around best practices in early talent recruiting timelines, candidate management and representing Collins Aerospace externally.
  • May own full candidate life-cycle on approved internship/co-op requisitions or have ownership of pieces of the life-cycle partnering with other Intern/Co-op recruiters depending upon volume and seasonality in recruiting.
  • Works within the Early Careers team to define and implement specific recruiting programs that will align with forecasted student staffing needs.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

  • Experience with HR Systems and ATS Systems is required
  • Excellent collaboration and presentation skills (both oral and written) are required
  • Must have ability to develop and execute candidate sourcing strategies and programs

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in University Recruiting/Relations desired
  • Experience in recruiting or related field; large industrial manufacturing/distribution/aerospace and/or multi-site organization preferred
  • Direct experience with high volume requisition loads while delivering superior hiring manager and candidate experiences preferred

Education:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in Business or Human Resources or related field is preferred.
